What's your biggest food storage challenge?

Maybe someone else has a good answer....

I have trouble knowing how long the food I have stored will last us. I know this should be a simple thing, but for me it is hard to judge.

Krissie Cook had an interesting dilemma that many members of our stake share, according to the survey taken at Stake Conference.

Here's my dilemma - we don't eat much non-perishable food in my family. That makes it hard to get a 3-month supply of food that we'll actually eat. Any ideas?

I have the same problem as Krissie. I would love to hear what others have to say! Also, does anyone know the cheapest place to purchase wheat?

Wheat and other bulk items:

Honeyville Grains (http://store.honeyvillegrain.com/)

Walton Feed
(http://waltonfeed.com/)

The Stake also makes a yearly purchase, and is considering a more frequent purchase if we can muster support. This saves on shipping costs as they will drive it out to our stake on a truck.

You used to be able to go to the Bishop's Storehouse as a group and can wheat for personal use. There was a cost but not very much. I will see if I can get some more information.

I've decided to try and incorporate a dinner once a week to include a recipe that uses pantry items/ canned goods. Who knows, you may find one or two that you really like. .
