Quite awhile back, I believe Arrowhead was selling bottled water in reasonable sized packed in cardboard boxes. I don't know if it is good yet, but I feel if nothing else we can use it for bathing, etc. Also, in an effort to drink more water and less healthy things, we ordered water from Arrowhead with dispenser. Our biggest drinker has left home and we have at least 12 big strong 5 gal containers with more coming. Even though it is a pain for the moment, I know water is probably the most important of all our storage so I am glad we have it, as I trip over it!!
The Home Depot has great water containers (the sturdy plastic kind)in the very back by the restrooms for $10 a piece I think.
We have fifteen 3 gallon water containers from the "Water Store" (located by on Hollister by Turnpike and in Buellton) that we use and cycle through. I like the 3 gallon size bottles because they are a lot lighter than the 5 gallon ones and you can buy squarish bottles that store pretty easily. When you fill your own bottles it is a lot cheaper than using Arrowhead (I think its $.50/gallon or cheaper if you buy a bulk 50 gallon club account).
